endurance/fitness and weight-loss tips?

Question by GaGa: endurance/fitness and weight-loss tips?
Just looking for some tips on losing weight with an exercise bike;
Does anybody have any specific routines that will benefit weight lose? Should I ride on one specific resistance, or alternate the resistance throughout the ride?
Also, how long do you advise to ride the bike per day/week?
I am just looking to lose a bit of weight, but I am interested more in building up my endurance and fitness levels.
The bike also has a calorie counter, so how many calories should I be aiming to burn each day (on just a regular diet)?
Sorry for all the questions.
Also, would weight training improve my endurance/fitness levels? I am specifically looking to build-up my endurance in long-distance running and short-drills such as the beep test.
Any weight-training tips/routines? I have a “home-gym” style weights set, if you get what I mean ;P
If it helps, I’m 16 and female haha.
thanks for the help guys! Sorry for the novel. ;D
It sounds like I am a total fitness-bodybuilding freak haha!
I’m just regular fitness, nothing special.
I’m also asthmatic, so nothing to strenuous :)

Interval exercising is the best. You should do the most intense exercises (up to 5) and continue for 30minutes each day for 60 days, with 1 minute breaks. This helps in extreme fat loss, and muscle build up. You still want to continue later on, because you are in suck awesome shape. Remember to drink alot of water, and 5 good meals a Day. Good Job

Drink a lot of water, stay away from cokes and artificial sugars. Try to eat better and more moderately. Walk and jog several times a week. Just be consistent and steady.
