First of all, these came ridiculously fast. I ordered after lunch on a Weds, and they were on my doorstep Fri morning before 8am. Amazing.

Second, I am very happy with the bands. The grip is comfortable (even when I’m sweaty), and the bands don’t rip the hair off my arms when they rub against me. I am a fairly strong person, and I am able to get some use out of the lightest, more out of the next, and a lot out of the 3rd strongest. I should have have plenty left to go as I get stronger.

Also, I read some reviews on cheaper bands that had a tendency to break at the handle. These have been put through a lot of stress in the last week during my P90x workouts, and they haven’t compromised at all.

The door hook is great too, as I’ve used it to replace the chin-up bar in my videos.

All in all, I would definitely recommend these bands!

I have tried a few of the resistance bands sold at the local box stores. These are better made, and a much better buy! With the many different sizes you definitely won’t run out of options. I started with the green, and have moved to the red band so far. That leaves me two more, and the thick grey one looks like it will be a killer! My wife is still at the first band, so there is something for everyone. How to use them videos can be found all over you tube, so don’t bother buying a dvd. I found a good program online and I can feel the difference already. Quality construction, and the door hook thingy works great. Thanks!

Bosu Balance Trainer Home Version Reviews

I purchased the Bosu Balance Trainer Home Version from amazon.com on October 14, 2008. It arrived about a week later and I was eager to get started. I carefully followed the inflation instructions and used my owner’s manual as a guide to determine the proper height of the dome. I read the entire manual, watched the DVD and then used the Bosu for 1 half hour workout. I stored it in a corner of my work out area (away from direct sunlight as instructed) in my air conditioned apartment.

This morning, two days after my last workout (my first and only workout) I retrieved my Bosu only to find that it had come unstuck from the base. The bottom is no longer flat and there is no way I can get the edges back into the space along the rim of the base. It looks like the glue that was used very sparingly to adhere the dome to the base didn’t hold for very long after I inflated it. As indicated by some other users the pump is very cheaply constructed and is less effective at deflating the Bosu than inflating it.

The idea behind Bosu is fantastic and I have used one repeatedly in the Gym so this problem makes me think that the manufacturers made an inferior product for home use because they believed it wouldn’t be used as much. However, after paying almost 0 or a product I should be able to get more than ONE use out of it.

Like I said, “Buyer Beware”. If I had read a review like this one I might have paid extra for the commercial version. I hope this review saves someone else from the needless expense and frustration that I have experienced with this product.

The home version of the BOSU balance trainer is just as sturdy as the PRO variety used at health clubs. However, it’s important that you know how to use it correctly. The BOSU should be inflated to 10 inches, and if properly inflated and plugged, it should not lose air nor pop out of its frame.I have been using BOSU with clients for over 2 years, and I’ve never had any problems despite having inflated and deflated my BOSUs several times on several occasions. I recommend this home version to my clients and website visitors because it is far less expensive compared to the pro version and just as effective for home use.If you’re new to BOSU training, consider taking a class with a certified BOSU instructor (or better still, a BOSU master trainer like myself) or purchase a BOSU video. I had a shipping problem with my ball, and I also ended up with the wrong size. Max Fitness went the extra mile and met all of my needs with 100% integrity. They were pro-active and gracious.

I also love the ball. One qualification for those of you considering getting a ball. The size of the ball may depend on not only your height but what you are using it for. In my case, I’m 6′ tall and I use the ball to do Core Exercises as taught by Gunnar Peterson and the 65 cm ball is definately too small for me. The 75 cm ball works for me, and I’m completely satisfied both with it’s quality and the excellent service I received from Max Fitness in the process.

You can’t go wrong with these folks.

I bought this item to use as a chair replacement, which means it likely gets used more often than if for exercise. I bought this items a month ago and have used it almost daily since. To date I have not had to reinflate the ball and it has been sturdy and comfortable. The enclosed pump didn’t inspire a lot of confidence but actually worked just fine, and given the fact that it may not require a lot of use, should be suitable for the life of the ball.

Everlast for Her Twist Board Reviews

(This is the same review I wrote for the Bally Twist Board, but this product is identical except for the color.)

We had one of these when I was a kid too (1960s). All of us kids fought over it (that’s probably why my parents made it disappear). Now I can have one of my own. In fact, I have two. You get a better workout with two–one for each foot.

I fell on the ice this winter (rats!) and these little twister boards have been excellent to help work out the pain that still lingers in my right hip. I stand on them while I read and twist gently. I use light weights and dance around on, and off of, them to music. I keep them handy, near the kitchen, so I can use them whenever. I love them.

If you’re concerned about them slipping on the floor just use some that Rubbermaid squishy shelf liner stuff underneath them. Hold onto a countertop if you’re concerned about balance and turn your legs all the way in and out, together and separatley. You can mess around with weight transfer too–stand on one leg and twist the other or put weight right on the leg and twist. Both ways are fun and good movement increasers. You’ll enjoy working your hips, obliques, and lungs (if you really get going) this way. I even put them on my kitchen stool tops and sit on them sometimes.

They’re so inexpensive and so fun they’re really worthwhile.

This is a fun twist board, however it is only 10 inches, not alot of room to stand and twist if you are very big. I can do it, but would be more comfortable if they would add a couple of inches.
